FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are highly aromatic liquids extracted from a plant.
Where do the essential oils you use for your products come from?
I buy my essential oils from two different companies, Plant Therapy and Aromatics International.
Do you use dye in your products?
My products are 100% dye free. Flecks of dark brown may be present in products containing vanilla and/or coffee. The bright yellow tealights are the natural color of the local beeswax I use specifically for the tealights.
Do you use preservatives? If not, what is the shelf life of your products?
I do not use any preservatives in my products. My suggestion is to not stock up on products that will not be used within 6-12 months. Aromatherapy inhalers last anywhere from 2-6 months based on use and care.
Why beeswax tealights?
Beeswax is environmentally friendly and produces negative ions which help remove toxins from the air. As an asthmatic with many allergies, I stopped using highly fragranced candles many years ago because they triggered symptoms. They burn longer than other candles and are soot free. They also emit a sweet, honey scent when burned.
I ordered lip balm and it arrived softened due to the warm weather during delivery. Can this be fixed?
Place lip balm (with cover on) in freezer for several minutes. It will firm back up and quality will not be impacted.
Why do some of my diffuser blends drip faster than others?
Each diffuser blend has a different viscosity based on the blend. For example, Rise+Shine is citrus based so it is much lighter than Comfy+Cozy which is made with heavier oils. For the heavier blends, it may take a few moments for each drop to appear. If it seems to be taking too long, place your finger over the top, give it a quick shake and try again. For all blends, start by slowly tipping the bottle to get a feel for the speed of the drip so as not to overpour.
What type of diffuser should I use?
Personally, I use passive diffusers. They work well in smaller spaces like an office, bathroom, or small bedroom and shouldn't impact others around you. If you have pets in the home, are around folks with medical conditions, or small children and/or babies, always be mindful of active diffusers and follow manufacturer directions.
Do you ship internationally?
